Unique Areas of Wisdom

We will ensure that we hold ourselves accountable to the highest standards by meeting our students’ needs precisely and completely. We will cultivate a working and learning environment that provides a human, sustainable approach to earning a living, and living in our world, for our partners, employees and for our students.

Home/World Schoolers

We are an umbrella for home-schoolers and world schoolers. We currently offer virtual classes for students in elementary, middle and high school students whether you choose our curriculum or your own.

We also offer an extra-curricular package that allows your child to join in on the fun classes like art, culinary, mindfulness, exercise, meet your angels, and monthly field trips across the country.

Whole Brain Learning

Starseed is a client/student-focused, results-driven private holistic school that provides a whole brain learning approach.

Whole brain learning helps students learn by utilizing the right and the left brain through the practice of art, music and movement. This makes learning much more fun for everyone!

Our goal is to make this experience comparable in tuition to other schools in the area.

We also plan to offer a few scholarships under the Angel Program. This will include either donated time or services from the students and parents.

Autism Spectrum

We offer a variety of traditional sports such as soccer, baseball, softball, volleyball, hiking to name just a few.

We will also include non-traditional alternative sports such as Yoga, Tai Chi, Eclectic Dance & Martial Arts.

Culinary Arts

Our culinary arts classes take place twice a month. Each month we choose either a fruit or a vegetable of the month. This class is SO MUCH FUN and the kids absolutely love it! Our Culinary Arts class also counts as part of a math and/or science lesson depending on the recipe chosen.

Class 1 – We learn all about the health benefits of the produce of the month. Chef Spring Rayne teaches the kids how to read a recipe and has them follow along
using the chosen produce. Students are allowed to substitute the recipe ingredients to make it more to their own liking. All recipes are Gluten Free, Dairy Free and/or Vegan

Class 2 – Recipe Challenge Day! The students are instructed to use the chosen fruit or veggie of the month to make their own recipe. Ms. Spring assists the students in altering recipes to be Gluten free and/or Vegan.

Photography & Video
Stage Production

Students will have classes available to them such as photography, desktop publishing, and video and stage production that will help to assist with our open-mic Fridays.

Art, Music & Theater

It is our belief that the traditional school system is lacking in their art & music curriculum. It’s through art and music that our brains learn and connect.

We will have a theater group, as well as a music, and art department. Every Friday we will have an open mic day, where students are encouraged to get up on stage and perform something either solo or with friends.

Sports

We offer a variety of traditional sports such as soccer, baseball, softball, volleyball, hiking to name just a few.

We will also include non-traditional alternative sports such as Yoga, Tai Chi, Eclectic Dance & Martial Arts.

Sustainability

Starseed Holistic School will
at all times demonstrate her commitment to sustainability; both individually and as an educational organization. By actively participating in our communities and integrating sustainable business practices wherever possible.

Community

Currently we assist ALL families with diet planning and suggest other holistic methods to help to lessen the effects of learning disabilities and those on the Austism Spectrum.

We offer learning platforms to students with both learning disability (including Autism spectrum children) and physical disability. In the future, we will have some ACC Certified teachers.

A Word About

Mindfulness and Discipline

At Starseed Holistic School we practice the mindfulness approach to discipline. Studies out of Baltimore have shown zero cases of suspension in those schools practicing the mindfulness approach to discipline.

We have a special mindfulness room rather than the dreaded approach of being sent to the principal’s office. We offer mediation, breath work and yoga to help children move through the pains they are experiencing.

We also offer a morning meditation at the beginning of each school day, as well as an optional quick morning yoga for all staff and students at the start of the day as well as an afternoon yoga session.
