Spring Rayne

S
pring Rayne is a mind-body-soul holistic health coach, Karuna Reiki Master, medium, health intuitive, and healer. She is a master herbalist, nutrition coach, gluten-free, vegan, and raw food chef, and two-time published author of two cookbooks: Eat Conscious and Be Merry and Healthy Family, Happy Family; available on Amazon.

She’s the creator of Holistic Naturals by Spring Rayne, a 100% organic, wild-crafted fair-trade line of herbal products that help with everything from insomnia, pain relief, and detoxification to increased energy and hormonal support.

Spring is intensely passionate about teaching people how to take better care of their minds, body, and spirit. She has helped many clients heal themselves from a wide variety of dis-eases, from insomnia to lupus. She has witnessed firsthand how difficult it is to teach adults to change their lifestyle habits so that they take better care of themselves in order to heal. As a result, she believes that it’s critical to instill healthy habits early on in childhood as well as create an environment that honors the child holistically – and teaches them to honor themselves, too. Scott Gordon

Scott Gordon grew up on a Crow Native American Indian reservation in Montana. Leaving Montana for New York
he spent five years in the Cornell University town of Ithaca, before heading for Texas where he finished high school in the town of Duncanville.

After school he began work as a framing carpenter, got married, and studied architecture; completing 3 years at the University of Texas and then onto the University of New Mexico, where he changed his major and eventually graduated with a BA in economics.

As his daughter Olivia entered her school-age years in the early 90s, Mr. Gordon took a strong interest in early childhood education and began teaching as a substitute teacher in Dallas, Texas.

Mr. Gordon’s reputation as a top teacher in Dallas, landed him a full-time position as a 2nd grade teacher, at which time he completed his elementary teacher certification in addition to becoming emergency-certified .

He also continued studies in reading while having already succeeded at bringing all of his students up to grade level in reading. From 2002-2004, Mr. Gordon was granted star teacher status and chairmanship of the 5th grade social studies department in the DeSoto school district of Texas.

Remarrying in 2003 Mr. Gordon relocated to Costa Rica to be with his wife, where he resumed teaching elementary school for two years, followed by a year and a half of teaching bilingual high school.

Amidst all his other work Mr. Gordon started a teak tree care business near the coast, but was forced to leave the country in 2012 after a local organized crime group took over the area and destroyed the business.

After losing everything (all but his clothing and laptops), Mr. Gordon started over in the States, deciding in 2013 to settle in Pueblo, Colorado. In 2015 he received certification for teaching in Colorado and began substitute teaching, during which time he was twice selected to be teacher-of-record for 1st and 2nd grade classes, all the while continuing to substitute teach all grade levels.

In 2020, Mr. Gordon quietly resigned from public school teaching to an early retirement, due to his unwillingness to enforce mask guidelines and social distancing on children. He was easily persuaded to join the growing online community of independent, family-oriented schools and chose to work with us here at Starseed Holistic School.

Jennifer Torres

J

ennifer loved to tumble as a child. So much so that she tumbled her way right into gymnastics at the age of 7. She flipped and tumbled anywhere and everywhere the opportunity presented itself. She once devised a daring plan to jump from the roof of her childhood treehouse onto the adjacent trampoline. From there she even dared (and succeeded) to go from treehouse roof, to trampoline to a flip into the pool on the other side.

It’s no surprise that Jennifer would later go on to become a cheerleader at New Roads, LA False River Academy where she made All American year after year.

In 9th grade her dedication and effort paid off winning her a trip to Hawaii with the National Cheerleading Association to cheer in that year’s Hulu Bowl.

Jennifer also coached gymnastics from the age of 17 until she was 19 at her local gym. From there she made a career of coaching with Elite Gymnastics of Baton Rouge until the age of 27 when it was time for a change. From there she transitioned into offering cheer and tumbling lessons both privately as well as at a local summer daycare camp.
